Mission
ODENOH's mission is to support Haitian communities in building environmentally sustainable, economically stronger, and more resilient futures through community-led action, practical innovation, and partnerships.
We work with women, youth, farmers, entrepreneurs, schools, markets, and community groups to advance environmental stewardship, sustainable livelihoods, green enterprise, and community development.
Our approach connects the protection of natural resources with economic opportunity and local leadership so that communities can create solutions that improve both livelihoods and the places where people live and work.

ODENOH envisions a Haiti where communities have greater opportunity to build secure livelihoods while protecting the natural resources and environments on which those livelihoods depend.

Healthy and Resilient Communities
Communities with practical systems and local leadership to reduce pollution, improve environmental conditions, and respond to changing environmental and economic pressures.
Protected and Productive Landscapes
Rural communities using sustainable agriculture, agroforestry, restoration, and responsible land management to strengthen food security, livelihoods, and ecological resilience.
Thriving Green Enterprise
Women, youth, and community entrepreneurs creating and strengthening businesses that generate income while reducing environmental harm and contributing to local solutions.
Young Environmental Leaders
Young people learning not only about environmental problems, but how to organize, measure, solve problems, and lead change in their schools and communities.
Women as Economic and Community Leaders
Women with greater access to knowledge, skills, networks, and opportunities to strengthen livelihoods, build enterprises, and contribute to community decision-making.
Communities as the Architects of Change
A Haiti where local people are recognized not simply as beneficiaries of development, but as the people best positioned to shape, test, and sustain solutions for their communities.
Our Long-Term Direction
ODENOH's future work will develop across two connected settings.
Urban Haiti: circular economy, waste reduction, recycling, environmental education, community action, markets, and green enterprise.
Rural Haiti: agroforestry, sustainable agriculture, conservation, restoration, climate resilience, and environmentally responsible livelihoods.
The connection between them is central to our work:
